We’re making one of the biggest transformations to the German Free School building it has seen in its 168 years of existence. The reconstruction of the historical staircase. The original patio structure has been removed, the foundation work has been completed, and the framing is going back up. This will be a game changer in terms of appearance, capacity, and how we manage the flow of events. However, with all of this work it leaves GTHS with a gap close to $50,000 due to the unforeseen construction costs, renting space for programs, and the cancellation of children ‘s classes due to the lack of space while construction is taking place. The work plans to be completed by late summer and in time to showcase it to everyone at Oktoberfest.
