Why all the fuss about Stefan you ask?
Stefan Gehring together with John Schieferie Uhlenbrock stepped up to streamline our WiFi system and technical subscriptions at GTHS!
Thanks to these efforts, GTHS has realized over $25K in cost savings.
Stefan identified and eliminated over $8K in recurring expenses by auditing all of our technical tools and services — savings that will continue year after year.
In addition, Stefan Gehring and John Schieferie Uhlenbrock tackled the major project of upgrading our WiFi system, saving GTHS an additional $16,000 in equipment savings and installation costs. They braved the 130°F attic, crawling through dust and insulation to lay new wiring — all to ensure strong WiFi coverage across the entire building and property.

Stefan goes above and beyond to help out where he can. No technical question seems to be too “dumb” and the best part, he’s available at all hours of the day for all the silly, little mishaps that surround us on a daily basis.
We could not afford you, Stefan. Thank you for being a dedicated member and the newest board member of GTHS!

Stefan is originally from Wuerzburg - the Franconian region of Bavaria and home to Dallas Mavericks icon Dirk Nowitzki - where he grew up and graduated with a Bachelors in Business Information Systems. He first moved to the US in 2011 as a graduate research fellow at the Computing and Mathematical Sciences department of the California Institute of Technology (Caltech), before finishing with a Masters in Information Systems back in Germany. After roles at BMW and multiple years at T-Systems, a division of Deutsche Telekom, Stefan had an opportunity in 2016 to return to the States for an extended period to build out the North American Cloud Computing Practice for T-Systems. Eventually he fell in love with Texas in 2017 and after learning to rodeo in West Texas, his permanent home became Austin the following year and he found a new community with GTHS during a visit to the Oktoberfest. Stefan currently is a Principal Partner Development Manager at Amazon Web Services (AWS) and lives in South Austin with his partner Roxy and his Golden Retriever Mayer.
