Here are just three benefits of bilingual education for a young brain:

  • Stronger Problem-Solving Skills — Bessere Problemlösungsfähigkeiten
Learning two languages helps the brain think more flexibly, switch between tasks, and find creative solutions.

  • Improved Memory and Focus — Verbessertes Gedächtnis und bessere Konzentration
Bilingual individuals often develop stronger attention skills and are better at filtering distractions.

  • Lifelong Cognitive Benefits — Lebenslange Vorteile für das Gehirn
Research suggests that speaking more than one language helps keep the brain active and may support cognitive health as we age.

The Freinet Method: a child-centered educational approach that encourages learning through hands-on experiences, collaboration, creativity, and real-world problem-solving, empowering students to take an active role in their education.

A Montessori-inspired approach: fostering independence, curiosity, and confidence by allowing children to learn at their own pace through hands-on activities in a carefully prepared environment.

The Baden-Württemberg Curriculum: a German educational framework that emphasizes academic excellence, critical thinking, language development, and well-rounded personal growth through structured, age-appropriate learning standards.

Parent Testimonials:

"Our son has enjoyed and thrived at GIS ever since it opened a few years ago. He speaks fluent German, excitedly comes home with stories of what he’s learned each day and loves his teachers, who clearly care about each and every student. We also love the school and parent community. "

"Not only is our daughter’s German improving by leaps and bounds, we love how kind and nurturing the GIS teachers are."
