Sophia Rouse

Sophie has been learning German since she was 14. She spent a year in Ubstadt-Weiher, Germany in 2016-2017 with the Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange Program, living with a host family and attending a German Gymnasium.

In 2022, she earned her BA in History and German at the University of Memphis. She then earned her masters in History while working as a teaching assistant at Texas A&M University. Her thesis centered on German immigrants in New Orleans.

Upon completion, she spent a year teaching with the German-American Fulbright commission at a Gymnasium in Goettingen, Germany. Sophie is also the fourth grade teacher at the German International School.

In her free time, she loves being outside, reading, and scrapbooking.
