A German tradition, celebrated and loved by many who grew up with it. Bring your own lanterns or purchase one from us. Watch us read/reenact the story of St. Martin. As the sun goes down, we'll sing songs and walk our lanterns around the streets of Austin.

About the event
Walk your lanterns with our German teachers and Samstagsschule kids. Many of us made our own lanterns and will be proud to show them off. We'll have a short play on who St. Martin was and then walk about two blocks with our lit lanterns singning "Laterne" songs. We'll end back at GTHS where you can have some refreshments for a donation.
If you don't have your own lantern, we might still have some for sale.
